Sack Buaben Asamoa from your team - Annoh-Dompreh appeals to Alan Kyerematen

Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Majority Chief Whip in Parliament, has requested that Alan Kyerematen, the former Minister of Trade and Industry, remove Yaw Buaben Asamoa from his campaign team. Annoh-Dompreh believes that Asamoa, the current official spokesperson for the campaign, has lost touch with his surroundings, as per his opinion.

“MP for Nsawam/Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, urges Alan Kyerematen to dismiss Yaw Buaben Asamoa from his campaign team, citing Asamoa’s apparent disconnection and cluelessness. Annoh-Dompreh expressed his disappointment in a tweet, calling Kyerematen’s campaign strategies “pathetic.”
In a previous report by GhanaWeb, Yaw Buaben Asamoa claimed that members of the New Patriotic Party in Parliament were being pressured to support Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s bid for a higher position. He further alleged that the Majority Chief Whip, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, and some party leaders were trying to coerce some MPs to accompany the Vice President on a planned visit to the Manhyia Palace.
According to Yaw Buaben Asamoa in the same GhanaWeb report, MPs are being intimidated into joining a delegation for the upcoming Akwasidae event in order to demonstrate support for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidential campaign.
Asamoa alleges that Frank Annoh-Dompreh is involved in pressuring the MPs, and expressed concern that elected officials are being coerced into participating in political campaigns rather than focusing on protecting their positions. Asamoa further claims that 100 MPs are expected to join the Vice President’s delegation for the Akwasidae event.
