Kanye Omari West is a celebrated rapper, songwriter, fashion icon, entrepreneur, politician, and the CEO of Donda. He is considered one of the greatest rappers and songwriters of all time.

West is the only son born to Ray West and his ex-wife Donda West in Atlanta, Georgia. After his parent’s divorce, he moved in with his mom’s mother in Chicago, Illinois.

West started school at Polaris School for Individual Education in suburban Oak Lawn, Illinois. Her mom who was a professor then had a job offer to teach at Nanjing University, so she moved to Nanjing, China with West.

After high school, West received a scholarship to attend Chicago’s American Academy of Art in 1997. He eventually dropped out of school to pursue a career in music.
