Ken Agyapong can never become president – Dr Amakye Boateng

Dr. Amakye Boateng, a well-known Political Scientist at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has criticized Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and his aspirations to become the party’s flagbearer and subsequently run for president.

Dr. Amakye Boateng, a Political Scientist at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has expressed his opinion that Kennedy Agyapong does not possess the necessary qualifications and presidential skills that align with Ghana’s cultural and moral standards, and therefore, cannot become the president of Ghana.

These remarks were reportedly made during Dr. Boateng’s appearance on the evening political program GhanAkoma on Akoma FM on Tuesday, March 14th.

During a discussion on the qualities of individuals that Ghanaians typically vote for to drive progress in the country, Dr. Amakye Boateng shared his opinion on Kennedy Agyapong’s presidential aspirations.

He reportedly told the host of the show, Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin, that Agyapong lacked the necessary qualifications to become president and should abandon his ambitions. Dr. Boateng also allegedly criticized Agyapong for sending his children to school and living outside of Ghana while still campaigning for the presidency.

In addition to questioning Kennedy Agyapong’s qualifications for the presidency, Dr. Amakye Boateng reportedly also stated that Agyapong lacks the necessary moral responsibility to lead the country.

The political scientist allegedly cited Agyapong’s history of insulting women and making derogatory remarks about individuals within his own government as evidence of his unsuitability for the presidency. Dr. Boateng concluded that Agyapong is not a serious contender for the presidency and should abandon his ambitions.

Dr Amakye Boateng further advised Ghanaians to bestow their trust in a candidate who has political will and a good working plan to turn around the economic woes the country finds itself in.

  1. Insanity is when you keep doing the same thing but expect a different result. What has those the Prof. claim to have the political credentials to be president of Ghana done for Ghana so far?
Ghana needs a pragmatic leader, not a career politician like the rest of them all. And that pragmatic leader is Kennedy Agyapong
