[Photos] COVID-19: Ghana begins local production of PPEs

Minister of Trade, Alan Kyerematen, has paid a visit to some local production companies that have began the production of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) in the country.
The minister visited the selected companies on Accra on Saturday, April 11, 2020.
The government of Ghana decided to initiate local production of personal protective equipment when rumors of infected masks and gloves from China started spreading in the country.
The government also thought it wise to initiate local manufacturing of personal protective equipment to offer quicker and beetr support in the fight against COVID-19.
The list of companies are Dignity DTRT, Sleek Garments, Cadling Fashions, and Alfie Designs Limited.
According to the Minister of Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyeman Manu, the companies will produce about 3.6m face masks for the health sector and public.
